Spill The Beans Coffee and Bagels

This became my go-to spot while spending a week at the Marriott down the street. First, I just love a good pun between the name "Spill The Beans" and all the merchandise saying that they're potheads with a coffee pot. That just really made me laugh, but that's not enough to keep me coming back. What kept me coming back after my morning runs was the coffee. We have a Starbucks in the lobby of the Marriott, and I was looking for something with better coffee. This really hit the spot. Their Cortada was excellent. Their Café Americano was very good. I also partook in their drip coffee. That wasn't enough to deserve five stars because having great coffee at a coffee shop is kind of table stakes. You add in the excellent views, the laid-back atmosphere, and the bubbly staff who seem to all be genuinely happy to work there. I would go out of my way to come to this place if I find myself staying a few miles away in San Diego. I would still go out of my way to come here. I also really enjoyed the Nova Locks Bagel Sandwich on an everything bagel and the San Diego Breakfast Sandwich. Bonus was having hot sauce packets to enhance the flavor of my sandwich.

Highly recommend! Ordered a Lox Bagel. The plentiful amount of smoked salmon and cream cheese made this sandwich a great value. The quality of ingredients were know with each bite. Hoping they keep that up, the next time I visit! I ordered the Blondie Mocha and it was delicious! The staff were quick and efficient!

Very delicious food and drinks. I love the bagel sandwiches, the S.O.B. is my favorite. Price is pretty good for the area too. It can be very busy during commuting times or conferences at the convention center. I suggest ordering online during these times. If you get a bagel with cream cheese it's pretty heavy on cream cheese but you can always scrap it off.

We walked over to Seaport Village early this morning and stopped by Spill the Beans Coffee. We tried a couple of mochas and a latte, and everything was delicious. The coffee was very flavorful, and we all really enjoyed it. Sitting right on the harbor with the beautiful view of the boats. Such a great spot to relax by the water.

Stopped by and grabbed their house favorite latte - Basic Sitch. It’s made with caramel sauce, vanilla syrup, milk, and espresso on top. I ordered it light on the caramel, and it was absolutely delicious, smooth and well balanced. Great views by Seaport Village, which makes it a perfect spot to grab a coffee and enjoy the area.
